A graduate of
the London School of Economics, Alan taught Economics in the
University of Paris (Sorbonne), then managed a retail outlet in Switzerland before
specializing in teaching English and Business Communication.
After designing courses in communication for King
Sa'ud University in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Alan managed a 4-year development project in Dakar,
Senegal, to set up a Professional Training Unit for West Africa.
After his MBA,
Alan was Director of British Council
English Language Teaching Centres for a total of 10 years, spanning Europe, Latin America,
and Asia. The
British Council is the UK's official agency for educational and cultural
exchange.
Alan was awarded the grade of "Distinction" in both major English
teaching qualifications: the PGCE
(London
University Institute of Education)
and the RSA Diploma (University of
Cambridge).
His MBA is from Edinburgh University
Business School. Alan is fluent in French, German, and Thai. He
also has a good command of Spanish, Hindi/Urdu, Chinese,
Russian, and Wolof.
This unique combination of
top-level experience and qualifications in business management as well as
